In my opinion, one good example is the current wheel of the Honda Accord Sport sedan and Accord EX-L Coupe. Really nice design that looks upscale without looking too flashy.

Kinja'd!!!

I'll also nominate the wheels on the new Colorado Z71. Also not too flashy, and actually pretty rugged looking.

Kinja'd!!!

And, of course, anything Ford ST.

Muscle cars.

Aftermarket wheels look so bad compared to a set of the factory rallyes or steelies.

'95 M-Edition BBS wheels. Quite possibly the lightest 15x6 (and lighter than some OEM 14x6!) wheels for a Miata at 12lb per corner. Mazda only produced 3500 set and it's getting harder and harder to find a full set that hasn't been curbed or in need to a refurbish. Very popular among auto-crossers for their low weight, popular among NA owners for a period-correct look and a damn good one at that, and popular among stance crowds for the affordable BBS look that aren't a set of BBS from a BMW E30.

Not only are these some of the best wheels ever, they are by far THE best wheels for the Z3 M cars. Don't swap them out, don't even paint them a different color. They are PERFECTION.

Also, that deep dish on the rear wheel...

That's exactly what I love about those wheels and others like them: They're just SO simple, yet that's what makes them so perfect. Pair that up with red calipers behind them and you have the perfectly aggressive and sporty look to your wheelset. Totally cliché by now, but it really is the ideal look.

Among the thousands and thousands of wheel designs and different spoke counts out there, it's really hard to beat the tried-and-true 5-spoke.

I'm a big fan of both these styles on the Mustang:

Always liked the "Detroit" wheels on the GTI (or on any VW product, really):

But for me, nothing tops an E38 or E39 on M-sport parallels:

I'm a pretty big fan of the stock wheel on my Niva. Note the pictured Niva isn't mine, but I've got the same wheels... just no decent pictures of them.

Kinja'd!!!

I'm also a fan of some of Subaru's current wheels. This one, from the Crosstrek, for example. If I ever choose to go to 17's on my Jeep, that's what I'd choose, although it would require adapters.

You sure? I know they came in both silver and dark gray from the factory, and I've seen some chrome ones as well, though I'm not sure if that was also a factory option or not.

02/28/2015 at 19:28

I'm pretty sure yes... Chrome wheels were after market and I don't recall any silver ones... Only those anthracite I had. It might just be a picture effect that make them look silver (I mean, my wheels look silver on that picture despite being anthracite)

I've seen tons of both sets in person though, both silver and dark gray. I highly doubt it, but perhaps there was a difference in USA/Canada-spec color choices?
